Electronic Music Production Workshop

Ivan Shopov & DMG presents, “Electronic Music Production Workshop”, a 2-day workshop for educative purposes, knowledge and to make some music with local producer Ivan Shopo.

Ivan will be presenting and explaining the following using Reason and Ableton.

– Basic:
The session will run for 5-6 hrs covering the basics of digital music production. Ivan will structure a foundation that every digital music producer needs in order to be able to unleash their creativity.

The session will be covering the following:

1- What is a DAW (Digital Audio Workshop)?
2- Different areas of concentration in a DAW
3- What is a VST and how to understand it and use it?
4- What is a Synthesizer and its different types?
5- How to use the sequencer?
6- Building up various loops
7- General structure of a track (major elements)
8- How to create a Dubstep/DnB Beat?
9- How to create a wobble?
10- Understanding sound dynamics
11- Basic usage of LFOs
12- Creating a small track to implement the accumulated knowledge during the workshop.

– Advanced:
This session is designed for advanced producers who have enough knowledge and experience to produce their own tracks.

The session will be covering the following:

1- How to create a Reece Bass?
2- How to use EQ to cut for mixing?
3- How to layer the sub basslines?
4- How to use Delays and Reverbs?
5- How to use compression?
6- Basic mixing techniques
7- Basic mastering techniques
8- How to create sweeps?
9- Advanced structure of a track

During this workshop, producers will have time to build a track (DnB, or Dubstep or any style they choose) and by the end of the session Ivan will select some tracks to be finished and released on Ivan’s Digital production Label.
