Tai chi chuan or Tai ji quan is a long sequence of easy movements, elaborated to increase health, improve vitality and energy in the body, using the Chinese meridians system to liberate the flow of energy in the body’s channels. It is beautiful to experience when you do it and beautiful to watch. Tai ji is a subtle and powerful awareness discipline, a tool to become more in touch with yourself. You will feel stillness in movement and learn how to move with wind and water not only in Tai ji but also in the course of everyday life, to act without forcing in accordance with the flow of nature’s course.Lao Tse said: although water is soft and weak it invariably overcomes the rigid and hard.

Tai chi is recommended by physicians for arthritis problems, osteoporosis, you will feel stillness in movement balance, backache, headache, stomach problems, it develops the immune system. It benefits also to increase concentration, to develop attention, coordination, memory, to treat psychological disorders and depressions.

Teacher: Amira Chouaib practicing traditional Yang Style Tai Ji Quan since 1988 with master DONG KAI YING international school in France. Teaching in Beirut since 2000.Teachings: slow set, fast set, Dong family set, knife, sword. Practice with a partner: Tui shou, san shou.
