“Beirut, raise the voice” by Hanaa Kaaki

Solidere invites to its upcoming exhibition of artist Hanaa Kaaki entitled “Beirut, raise the voice” at the “Piece Unique Gallery”.

A holder of higher degrees in the field of fine arts from the ALBA institute, Hanaa Kaaki will exhibit for the time in a solitary show several of her works in which she expresses time and again Beirut’s cry of agony towards losing year after year its pretty and traditional houses that form a wide heritage and a milestone commemorating the history of the ancient city, to more modern looking buildings.

Kaaki adds that she tried incredibly hard to hold on to what was left of the Beirut she remembers and the Beirut she knew, embodying all of those memories in her works of art, paintings that tell the story of the past in all of its cultural glory. The artist further explains that her everlasting faith in our great city led her to let it speak for itself through her works.
