Dating back to the French mandate, the central military club was built by the French army under the name “Bain Militaire” and was later acquired by the Lebanese government once the colonization was over.
Bain Militaire is a resort compound that includes chalets, a hotel, a restaurant, a lounge/cafeteria area, a sea-side cafe, pools (both indoor and outdoor), a basketball court, a gym, a spa, and access to the beach.
It is mostly frequented by families and large groups, because of the fun atmosphere, entertaining activities and relatively low prices.
