Moulin Rouge is a student theater production produced by LAU and AUB, organized by The AUB Drama Club, directed by Omar Moujaes and Majed Moujaes and adapted from the 2001 award winning film ‘Moulin Rouge’. The production involves a cast of 20 actors/singers, 12 dancers, and a crew of 24 managers, designers and directors, and has been ongoing since June 20th. The play has already been performed in LAU on August 12th 2011 and will be presented again updated and revised.
The main purpose of ‘Moulin Rouge!’ is not aimed at financial gain but rather toward giving both the participants and audience a thrilling theatrical experience.
This production was the first musical in LAU to take place in over 20 years and is the first major student production in AUB this year.
In addition, the themes such as love, desire, and passion have never been so cleverly illustrated before.
