Artist talk by Secil Yaylali
The artist will talk about her previous projects and her workshop in Beirut. She will also explain the artist collective and a project space PASAJist that she established in Istanbul.
Seçil Yaylalı is a visual artist based in Istanbul, Berlin and Turin. Seçil Yaylalı’s background in urban planning and art & design results in a wide-ranging artistic practice, including ceramics, installation and community projects. She has worked with immigrant youth workers, patients in psychiatric hospitals and with adolescent teenagers in informal youth centers. Recent projects include: Urban Garden LAB, Istanbul, Dessertscapes: A Way of Collective Mapping- Berlin, 2011; Quartier für Vielflieger, Berlin 2010; Let’s, Barcelona, Alexandria, Istanbul, Berlin, 2009-2010. She is a co-founder of an independent art space PASAJist functioning from January 2011 in Istanbul.
