Alan Azar began his musical life in Beirut, Lebanon. At the age of 15, his father introduced him to rock music and a tired old Yamaha classical guitar on which he began teaching himself tunes by the Beatles, Nirvana, and Metallica. Inspired by the guitar sound his father could only describe as “fuzz,” Alan quickly realized the true vehicle for his musical journey: the Electric guitar. Before long, Alan had earned a degree in Musicology, formed his first band, and began work as a University music and guitar instructor.

Alan has worked in other genres including Jazz, R&B, hip-hop, Rock, Metal, and Middle-Eastern. In 2007, Alan recorded guitar tracks for an Atlanta R&B group, and an alternative band, which have albums slated to be released this year. Alan has also toured internationally with acclaimed singer Nancy Ajram since 2005 and also touring with The Kordz a Lebanese rock band.
