Founded by Tomaso Casini in 1950 and in the heart of Beirut’s Ain El Mreisi, Romano 222 was Beirut’s first Italian Restaurant catering to offer the best authentic Italian cuisine to the city’s elite society by being closer to Italy’s taste, flavor, service and ambiance.
Ever since, this family operated restaurant remained in the heart and soul of the Casini family operating today two restaurants, the one that remains in Ain El Mreisi and a second Romano 222 that opened it’s doors in 1985 in Horch Tabet.
Till today, the spirit of Tomaso’s kitchen and cuisine still surprises the mouths of it’s life long customers that remained loyal to it’s taste.
