Etching

This workshop is an introduction to Etching, one of the earliest printing methods. Ginane Bacho, is a professional artist and printmaker who has taught Etching for more than 20 years. The 15-hour course will comprise executing a design on a zinc plate by manual engraving or by etching with acid, and printing the inked plate in limited editions. The workshop will incorporate soft ground, hard ground and aquatint, which represent the fundamental elements of Etching.
