The Darwazah Center for Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship is hosting a presentation on the "Netherlands Game Award" with Bader Young Entrepreneurs .
The event is a short presentation by one of the Advisory Board of the award followed by a Q&A session where students can ask anything about the award and be answered by an expert (game designers and developers).
The Netherlands Game Award has been established by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Beirut in close cooperation with Bader Young Entrepreneurs Program to support the development of a Gaming Industry in Lebanon and the region. The award is aimed at game designers on all platforms except for box games (Playstation, nintendo, Xbox 360). The accepted platforms are IOS (iphones and ipads), android, windows phone, PC and web-based (online games).The award consists of a prize of € 7,500(plus all technical and business support needed to sustain the game) for the best playable game. The winner will be chosen in mid December and after the submission of the game concepts on April 1, applicants will take part in workshops to help them further develop their ideas.
The Netherlands Game Award is supported by Dutch and Lebanese companies and institutions. The Royal Netherlands Embassy, Bader Young Entrepreneurs Program, Wixel Studios, IJsfontein and the Utrecht School of Arts will sit in the Advisory Board of the competition and will form the Jury to decide on the Award.
