On a sunny August day, Bruno, a jaded and hedonistic forty-year-old man, asks Roberto, a young shy law student, to use his phone to make a call. In order to return the favor, Bruno takes Roberto on a drive aboard his Lancia along Rome’s Via Aurelia, introducing him to the delights of his extravagant lifestyle. But soon Bruno discovers his superficiality and fears being drawn to it further.
