As he’s preparing to celebrate his 80th birthday with his family, Carlo revisits his life by taking a walk down memory lane without leaving his room. His christening in 1906, the Belle Époque, fascism, world wars and then economic prosperity, Carlo has witnessed it all. He has also lived strong moments with his wife Beatrice, the woman who adored him, but also her sister Adriana whom he adored.
