In the spirit of promoting Art Education and believing that Art helps children to say what cannot be said, experience and discover what is felt,” Busy Box” is organizing its first Art Competition for:

Private Schools:

1) Carmel Saint Joseph
2) Saint cœur sioufi
3) Collège Protestant Français
4) Elite school
5) Hariri High School
6) Ecole Saint François

Competition Headlines:

-Students in grades: ten, eleven, and twelve.

-Students will work in “Busy Box” on their art piece.

-The participants will choose one of the following subjects:

1-The dreams are often caught between abstraction and utopia; draw and paint your own.

2- Identity is getting lost nowadays in the world of globalization; share your identity, culture and roots through an art work.

3- Nature is enduring the most in the global warming environment we now live in. Campaign the eco friendly nature and show your support for it in a unique and persuasive artwork.

The three judges that we named are:

• Mr. Rashed Bohsali: Lebanese Canadian Artist/ Architect, lives in Beirut where he chairs the Fine Arts Department of the Lebanese American University.

• Mr Roger Moukarzel: Professional Photographer, born in 1962.His passion started with war/photography, then his documentaries were published around the world.

• Mr.Wissam Beydoun: Artist and painter who has held several individual and collective exhibitions in Lebanon and France; and has participated in Sursock Museum’s “Salon d’Automne” in the years 2004 and 2005.

• Ms.Dima Raad: Artist born in 1969. Exhibited war related artworks in France, Lebanon and around the world.

An online voting competition will be launched for that purpose on “Busy Box’s official Facebook page. Facebook users will be voting on the first round for their favorite ten participants out of thirty. The chosen participants will have to work on another subject on the second round. After which the judges will vote for the top five. The last five's works will then be posted online for the last round of voting sixty percent of which will be for the judges, and forty percent for Facebook users.
