Zoukak would like to invite you to ‘‘Silk Thread”; a site-specific performance investigating social structures that define and shape gender stereotypes as identified through local mythologies, fairy tales, modern legends, contemporary stories and actual events. Borrowing elements from story-telling, live art, installation and movement, the performance will inhabit a site, and the audience will be invited to travel within it, listening to the stories and witnessing events very closely. A fine line between reality and fiction is drawn, allowing the fantasy of the tales and the violence of actuality to converge forming one image, bringing our collective unconscious up close. Through playfulness and provocation the audience will be invited to join a journey reshuffling references and questioning certainties.
