A Touch of Passion

Missak Terzian, is a highly decorated, Lebanese-American artist, whose paintings have become a part of many notable collections worldwide, including that of the Saudi Royal family and of many prominent Lebanese political figures. A graduate of the London College of Printing in 1971, Terzian is a graphic designer, pre-press color specialist, and artist, who has held over 80 exhibitions worldwide. In 1989, all of Terzian’s works were destroyed, but this did not deter Terzian from undertaking a remarkable effort to restore paintings and create new ones.

This exhibition features art by Missak Terzian inspired by the work of cubist artist Pablo Picasso. Terzian is known for his use of figurative and abstract subjects, and he successfully merges semi-abstract figurative expressionism with the timeless cubist world of Picasso’s artwork. Terzian has a burning desire to create, delving into the world of existentialism, and dealing with the burden of one’s search for identity. The “organized chaos” of Terzian’s paintings urges the viewer to reflect and indulge at the passion and amazement that he has put into his artwork.
