Grandma

Lola/Grandma is an ‘aswang’; a combination of vampire, witch and shape-shifter. She is hired as an actress by a very demanding director who exploits her supernatural abilities to save on production costs.

Joey Agbayani was born in Philippines in 1965. He participated in several film workshops sponsored by the Goethe Institute, the Mowelfund Film Institute and the UP Film Center. Joey’s films have been shown in many festivals around the world and this animated short is part of the International Animation Competition.
