Basel Rajoub Live in Concert

Thursday, Jun 28, 2012
8:30pm -> 10:30pm
American University of Beirut (AUB)

A live concert is being held in the presence of musician Basel Rajoub, at the AUB Assembly Hall where the non-chalant sound of the saxophone will be sure to make you glad you came.

For those who don’t know, Basel Rajoub, Syrian of origin, plays the saxophone almost as though he were naturally breathing its sound. He was awarded in 2006 with “The Middle East and North Africa Monte Carlo award” for distributing Lena Chamamyan’s album (Hal Asmar Ellon), as well as her second and third album (Shamat Rassael).

Lately, Basel started working on his new project “Asia” with distinct Middle Eastern musicians such as Firas Shahristan from Syria (kanoun), Khaled Yassine from Lebanon (percussion), Elie Afif from Lebanon, (double bass), on oriental contemporary music composed by Basel.
