The Sanayeh Gardens: A Stage Production

Tuesday, Jun 26, 2012
7:00pm -> 9:00pm
Institut Francais du Proche-Orient (ifpo)

During the last century, Beirut was truly a garden-city, where houses were hidden in an ocean of greenery. The last of the vestiges of this great and luxurious past, the Sanayeh Garden, was restored by the Ottomans at the beginning of the last century.
After Zaroub el Haramiyé and Ahwet el Ezez, the Montaigne Theatre wants to reach out once again to the memories that Beirutis hold dear, by presenting the old lost gardens and green spaces where the locals loved to reconnect for a short moment in time.

Special Formula:This event takes place in the Montaigne Theatre
