Maajoun

Maajoun is a Beirut-based visual communication and type design studio founded in 2010 by Lara Balaa and Khajag Apelian. As the name suggests (maajoun means “playdough” in Arabic), both designers enjoy working in a fun and flexible environment.

The two founders continuously challenge one another to be bold, fresh and innovative in the design process.

Maajoun’s client base varies across sectors (serving businesses, publishing houses, cultural institutions and individual artists). The exceptional quality of their work is a clear testament to the studio’s conceptual approach, editorial know-how and type-related expertise.
