When he’s not studying graphic design, illustrating kooky cartoons, or dabbling with sample-based beat-music, Omar Al Fil sorta writes too, and it’s been going well so far. In 2009, a newly discovered interest in local alternative music gave birth to a blog, with the objective of reviewing and promoting the local scene. That in turn opened the doors to writing for Hibr, TaGgED Magazine, the NOW Lebanon news website, Red Bull, and even a feature in TimeOut Beirut’s “From their bookshelves” column.

With a passion for the arts, and music specifically, you’ll be sure to find him covering all things cultural on Beirut.com (well, some of them) and occasionally posting his own stuff on his personal blog, Elepheel.
