Mohammad Safadi

Safadi graduated from Brummana High School in the year 1962 and then earned a degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut in 1968.

In 1975, he left for Saudi Arabia.

He has invested in several banks, technologies, and real estate in both the Arab world and Europe.

In the year 2000 he created the Safadi Foundation.

July 2005: appointed Minister of Public Works and Transport under Prime Minister Fouad Siniora
July 2008: appointed Minister of Economy and Commerce
June 2011: appointed Minister of Finance under Prime Minister Najib Mikati
