OK World Performs at DRM

OK World was established in India in April 2012. The idea was to gather musicians from different countries, and to use each other’s background to make something in common, creating a shared music. Initiated by Bugge Wesseltoft – Norwegian jazz musician- along with Shri Sriram, Indian bassist and flutist; OK World is meeting in each musicians home countries, to create music influenced by the city they are in, by its architecture, its streets, its people, its culture and especially its music.

Together with Bugge Wesseltoft and Shrikanth Sriram the audience in Beirut will have the pleasure of listening to the African drummer Amade Cossa from Maputo, the percussionist Khaled Yassine from Beirut, the mrindagam player Vivek Rajagopolan from Mumbai and flamenco guitarist Josemi Carmona from Madrid.
