Carte Blanche

Director of, among others, Beyrouth Fantôme, Terra Incognita, The Last Man, 1958, and The Mountain, author of “Fragments du Livre du naufrage”, Ghassan Salhab decides to take you on a musical and political journey at the time of the Black Panthers.

Two documentaries of his choosing will be screened during the Lebanese Film Festival. The documentaries are “Black Panthers” by Agnes Varda and “The Black Power Mixtapes 1967-1975” by Göran Hugo Olsson. Both documentaries deal with the Black Panthers of America and their struggle for African-American rights.
