5,500 Galaxies in One Picture

NASA has just unveiled this photograph of 5,500 galaxies taken with a camera that’s ten billion times more light-sensitive than the human eye.

This is as far into the universe we’ve ever seen.

The photo combines 10 years worth of NASA Hubble Space Telescope images taken of a patch of sky at the center of the original Hubble Ultra Deep Field.

We are so small. That is all.
