France Takes Steps to Legalize Same-Sex Marriage

France takes a step further in legalizing same sex marriage, effectively banning the terms “Mother” and “Father” from all official documents. The word “parents” will now be used instead, in order to be gender neutral.

The controversial draft law clearly states: “marriage is a union of two people, of different or the same gender”.

French Catholics seem pretty pissed, and other conservative parties aren’t too happy either. The Pope sent 30 French Bishops to Italy in order to help dissuade the government. However, it looks like the happy side is winning. The gay side, I mean.
