Medialab RAMI 3.0 at AltCity

Zinc and Shams/ICARE are organizing with AltCity, in the frame of RAMI 3.0, a time Medialab in Beirut.

For this occasion, both artists and developers, Mohamed Youssef and Naoyuki Tanaka, a.k.a NAO, who have already participated and facilitated the previous medialab, offer to artists, videographers or others who already have been introduced to programming, to join this Media Lab to work with the Kinect tool for art work, performing or installation.

The Kinect will be the theme of the lab. Using examples, participants will explore the difference between Kinect and other kinds of motion capture tools. Then, one or more projects based on Kinect and interactive control between sign and image/sound and other aspects according to the ideas discussed with the participants, will be developed during the week.

The Media Lab will be limited to a group of 8 people in total selected by Nao and Mohamed Youssef. Please send your CV and letter of interest to medialab2012@shamslb.org before October 18 at 12:00 p.m.

Accepted participants will be informed by October 20, 2012.
