“Education is a better safeguard of liberty than a standing army.”
So says NDU’s very own Statue of Liberty tweeted by @tonyjabboud, complete with a torch, crown, and scenic backdrop of New York. Just kidding.
But seriously, we’re all for liberty, and I’m totes a fan of the quote, but couldn’t we better represent it nationalistically? Perhaps a flag of Lebanon? Some Lebanese kids playing freely? A plaque that reads “LIBERTY”?
But I guess it IS meant to be for the Faculty of Political Studies, Public Administration and Diplomacy. I mean I suppose it makes sense. It’s just a little weird, no?
Sacrebleu! Zer iz a statue in Libanon!

We incorrectly stated that NDU is a French university. It is in fact Lebanese.
