Let’s Make Beirut Green

Green spaces in Beirut are unfortunately hard to find. We’ve got only 14 gardens and the largest among them, Horsh Beirut, is not even open to the public.

The Youth Economic Forum, a.k.a, YEF, aim to increase public green spaces, which have shrunk exponentially over the past several decades. Urbanization has increased and the Lebanese have yet to implement environmental awareness campaigns, much to our sadness. Popular cartoonist Maya Zankoul has joined YEF’s campaign, urging Beiruitis to create green spaces.

Read YEF’s policy paper and learn how to help increase the green in our beloved all-too urbanized city.
