Japanese Cuisine at Its Finest: Maki in Beirut

I freaking love sushi. Like the kind of love where your heart stops and you have this butterfly feeling in your stomach kind of love. Except instead of butterflies, its delicious goodness.

I have to admit, moving to Beirut has severely limited my sushi intake, unfortunately. I hadn’t really found any fabulous sushi places…until yesterday. Maki sushi, the reason I get up in the morning. Oh my goodness it was so good.

Check out this gorgeous picture of one of their signature dishes, Fusion IV, filled with mouth-watering shrimp and crab and fishy love.

Or how about this picture of Unagi Horenso – grilled freshwater eel – which I’ve never had before and which I now adore.

As if you needed more incentive to eat at Maki’s, Chef Louis Kenji Huang Chef Louis was nominated for the Caterer Awards (Hotelier Middle East) Best Chef award. Well deserved Chef Louis!

Oh the glorious food.
