Literally. I mean take a look at this photo tweeted by @moukahal, showing the streets of Beirut literally overflowing with garbage after two days of hiatus – all due to the events in Achrafieh.

Sukleen has since – and thankfully – resumed duty. Let’s all take a moment to appreciate our often overlooked street cleaners, without which Beirut would be disgusting. Thank you for your services.
