Activists Still Need Donations for Achrafieh Victims

Several local restaurants are doing their part to help the families who lost their homes in the Achrafieh bombing last Friday. Zaatar W Zeit, Crepaway, Roadster and Leil Nahar are all working to donate breakfast, lunch or dinner meals to around 80 people for the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, activists are still looking for donations for the families left homeless. Tinia Nassif, one of the leading organizers of the “Achrafieh For All” group, says they are still looking for non-perishable food donations as well as hygienic maintenance items including shampoo, shower gel, shaving sets for both men and women and sanitary pads. There’s also a need for fresh socks and new underwear for men, women and children.

Finally, the families could also use new bed sheets, pillows and pillow cases.

All donations can be dropped off at the Nasawiya café in Mar Mikhael between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
