In Case You Missed the White March

If you wanted to attend the White March last Thursday but were unable to, catch a re-cap of its best moments from this video, tweeted by one of the main founders of Nasawiya, Nadine Moawad (@nmoawad), who dubbed it “the best video coverage of the event.”

An event organized to express solidarity for the Achrafieh bombing victims, The White March was a culmination of people from all over Lebanon, bonding together over tragedy regardless of religious and political affiliation. Everyone wore white as a symbol of unity and peace, and a vigil was held at the heart of the bombing, Sassine Square.

The video serves as a momentum of the plight of the victims and of the unity of the Lebanese, who movingly stirred themselves to action with fundraisers, campaigns, and blood and supply donations. Holding signs, looking solemn, and lighting candles, onlookers make for a bittersweet display of solidarity in this touchingly made video that is definitely worth the watch.
