AUB Debate Ta3a Ne7ke

The AUB Nature Conservation Center invites you to its third annual ‘Ta3a Ne7ke’ public debate series on attitudes towards nature conservation, which will take place at AUB West Hall Auditorium A.

This ‘Ta3a Ne7ke’ debate is entitled: “Religious Authorities and Nature: Protecting or Exploiting the Environment of Awqaf (Land Endowments)”?

The debate will ask the following questions: What are the roles of religious authorities in preserving the biodiversity of their land endowments? How do they decide to rent or sell these lands? Is there a way for them to make use of their land biodiversity in a sustainable fashion?
