You Know You’re in Beirut When…

You see a basket dangling from a rope in the middle of the street.

Check out this pic tweeted by @tarekmtl, showing the above named basket hanging off the side of someone’s balcony. Convenient for carrying, distributing, and hey – if you’re really creative – decor, I doubt you can find anything of the sort in a westernized country.

But if it looks stupid, and it works, it’s not so stupid after all, is it?
