Golden Age Architecture

Hurrah for architecture!

@zebibmohamad tweeted this shot of a rustic old building in Kantari, Beirut, emulating the bygone era of what was once the Golden Age of Beirut. With arched windows, delicate black balconies, and a paint job peeling with the memories of decades of war and life, authentic Beiruti architecture is – in my opinion – one of the most beautiful things about Lebanon.
