The Wall Screening at Metropolis Cinema

As part of the 19th European Film Festival, Metropolis Cinema is screening “The Wall”, a movie by Lebanese director Odette Makhlouf.

Synopsis: In the East suburb of Beirut, in the middle of the 80’s civil war, my family used to hide in Mary’s house, known to be the safest house of the neighborhood. That house had won its reputation thanks to the living room’s wall that was built with reinforced concrete, thus unbreakable. Twenty years after the end of the war, Mary’s son, George, decides to break the wall in order to get married and live with his two single sisters.
