Spinney’s Apologizes for Israeli Products Found In Saida Branch

Outrage ensued yesterday after Israeli products were discovered among produce in Spinneys Saida. However, Spinneys has since apologized, releasing this official statement.

“Spinney’s, in all Arab countries that it operates in … adheres to implementing regulations regarding the boycott on the importing of Israeli products and it has never been accused of breaching [the ban]”

They further explained that the products almost unnoticeable labeling was missed by custom department detection and Spinneys staff, allowing it to enter the country and the major produce store. Which is totally understandable, considering that the label was actually inside of the bag, and hard to read.

The products have since been removed. No harm, no foul.
