We Were Evergreen Live at The Warehouse

Thursday, Feb 28, 2013
8:00pm -> 12:30am
The Warehouse

For those of you who love instruments such as ukuleles, xylophones, loop pedals, banjos, trumpets, percussions and so on, this one is particularly for you. We Were Evergreen is an indie-pop Parisian trio (based in London) that was formed in 2008. Their shape-shifting pop songs blend folk melodies, electro beats and exotic rhythms.

We Were Evergreen are a celebration of life’s messy magic: their world is beautiful and deep, happy and dark. Here are universal modern tales drawing on the power of images to create songs both meaningful and surreal, delivered through joyful, eclectic arrangements that marry the organic, electric and electronic with ukuleles, xylophones and disco beats. Their music is a fusion of English folk and dance music and the storytelling traditions of their native France, with a kleptomaniacal approach to world music too.
