Maslenitsa Festival in Ain Zhalta

Join the Russian Cultural Center of Lebanon as it hosts the celebration of Maslenitsa in the village of Ain Zhalta. Maslenitsa is an Eastern Slavic religious and folk holiday. It is celebrated during the last week before Great Lent—that is, the seventh week before Eastern Orthodox Easter.

During the celebration, you’ll be treated to some Blini (Russian pancakes that are essential to the celebrations), games, dancing, some hot tea, and a great Russian atmosphere. If you’ve never celebrated Maslenitsa before, why not start this year?
