Join DRM as it hosts international artist Chris Combette. Born in French Guyana, of Martiniquan parents, this artist is in constant movement, so his music that comes to life and feeds off his travels. From Paris to Montreal, Angouleme to Kingston, New York to San Francisco, Budapest to Port of Spain Chris carries a Caribbean soul as he felt molded by the sounds that make up the creole repertoire: biguine, mazurka, bossa nova, salsa, zouk or reggae.

He is undoubtedly one of the best World Music musicians of his genre. In his album “ La Danse de Flore”, Combette pays tribute to his homeland, French Guyana. Having the soul of a troubadour, he composed his own songs often inspired from pain (La Danse de Flore) and sometimes from lighter themes (like the great ballad “ Soledad” telling the story of a young girl and his alcoholic father), but always with emotions and sensitivity.
