Locusts Have Taken Over Egypt

In a story of Biblical proportions, BuzzFeed reports that a swarm of locusts have invaded Egypt, terrifying Egyptians and further discouraging their already moribund tourism industry.

Arriving it thousands, the locusts are a testament (think old) to the fact that history will always inevitably repeat itself. Unlike previous times, sinful pharaohs are not the cause of abundant locusts. Instead, scientists have identified overcrowding as the main culprit.

Still, as an Egyptian, these pictures make me never want to go back to Cairo. Except I’d miss the food too much. Locusts or kushari?
