It’s Time To Scream! Play at The Sunflower Theatre

The Sunflower Theatre is hosting a performance of the play “It’s Time To Scream!”, written and performed by a group of women activists.
“It’s time to scream” is the result of 18 sessions of drama therapy with a group of women associated with Kafa (“enough violence and exploitation”), in their struggle for the implementation of the law against domestic violence.
In this workshop led by Lamia Abi Azar and Maya Zbib (Zoukak Theater Company), a special approach to drama therapy – using experimental theater and clinical psychology – was employed; enabling the participants to write their own texts and generate stories from their everyday life through devised scenes and group improvisation.
The aim of the work is creating a space of collective and personal expression through theater about issues that concern these women personally as well as on a more global civic level.
