Now, getting over the fact that Betroit is the worst movie title I've heard since Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, IMDB thus far gives this movie a pretty apathetic rating of 5.7 over 10.
Currently showing in several cinemas in Lebanon, Betroit follows the stories of three families in two locations--Beirut, Lebanon and Detroit, Michigan. (Hence, the fabulous title).
It's meant to be a look at the often-at-odds relationship between the U.S and the Arab world, and follows the issues of domestic abuse, love, and the differences in culture. Which almost makes the movie's title a little more bearable. Almost.
Sigh. I kinda wish they called it "Detrut".
