Reddit Explains The Crisis in Syria to Five-Year-Olds

As part of Reddit’s YouTube series “Explain Like I’m Five”, a new video was released on Monday that explained the Syrian Crisis…. for dummies. Or for Americans. Lol jk…ish.

But seriously now, it’s been making headlines for nearly a year. So there’s no excuse not to know about what’s going on in Syria. And with the help of Reddit, you can learn the basics in all of 4 minutes.

Speaking to a class of four 5-year-olds, the two lectures explain why Bashar al-Assad is a “mean president” and ask their opinion on how to deal with the crisis.

“Chop his head off!” says one kid; “Chop his arm off!”, says another.

And my personal favorite: “Use his eyeballs for mini-soccer balls!”

Ah, the innocence of children…
