Join Metro Al Madina as it hosts a great night of music with El Rass, Munma, and Al Sayyed Darwish. El Rass and Munma released their first collaboration album “Kachf el Mahjoub” (Unveiling the Hidden) on February 2012. The encounter of the lyrical armada of El Rass, oscillating between Rap, Poetry, and slammed vocals, and the electronic genius of Munma, creating musical universes of evocative sounds, melodies, and beats, was critically acclaimed, and more importantly, met as a gem of innovation and expression worldwide.

El Rass’s masterful flow switches naturally from classical Arabic language, to the spoken Lebanese dialect, tackling a wide range of sensitive subjects and realms, from revolution to religion, from Sufism to social agitation. Munma, on the other hand, alternates between broken beats, elaborate percussion, and ambient layers of synths. And he thus creates a genre-transcending dimension of sound that perfectly suits, with its constant metamorphosis in sincerity, the directions of his collaborator.

Al Sayyed Darwish from Homs, a powerful lyricist the Beiruti public has been introduced to, will open the show with some of his unreleased tracks. El Rass will then perform his set of new and older tracks, setting the way for El Far3i to bring beirut up to date with the skills and wisdom of Amman’s multi-talented artist.
