Regarding Suspended Architecture in Lebanon Symposium at Beirut Art Center

Saturday, Apr 20, 2013
1:30pm -> 6:00pm
Beirut Art Center

The Beirut Art Center is hosting a symposium on architecture organized by Suspended Space, an independent collective set up above all with the desire to work together and with other artists and international researchers.

The symposium fits into the context of “Regarding Suspended Architecture in Lebanon”, a project with the intention of uniting European and Lebanese artists and theorists for a common experience.

The general objective of the project is to develop an artistic and theoretical research on the heritage of contemporary modernity by using particular sites as departure points. This third stage of the project will initially centre on the unfinished International Fair in Tripoli (Lebanon) designed by Oscar Neimeyer, which has been preserved in its natural state.
