The AUBMC Social Service Committee is hosting a screening of the movie “The Big Wedding” at Grand Cinemas Concorde to raise funds to help patients in need.
Synopsis: Don and Ellie Griffin, a long divorced couple, are forced to pretend that they are still happily married at their adopted son, Alejandro’s, wedding. His biological mother, a Catholic from Colombia, is also attending, and has not been told that her son’s foster parents got divorced. Among all of their family and friends, the hoax snowballs into a poignant and raucously funny story about the ties that bind.
Tickets: 20,000 LL for students and staff, 30,000 LL for faculty and physicians.
