Rare Photos of Lebanon’s Civil War

For some, it’s all too easy to forget that Lebanon went through a bloody civil war only decades ago. For others, it’s a waking nightmare.

From 1975 to 1990, guns, tanks, bombs and heavy artillery plagued generations of Lebanese citizens, leaving many crippled, incapacitated or even dead.

Those of us who were not here at that time cannot possibly imagine the chaos that ensued; yet as the popular saying goes: a picture is worth a thousand words. And we’ve got lots of pictures.
