Thousand Drops, Thousand Flowers Performance at The Sunflower Theatre

Join the Sunflower Theatre as it hosts a live Butoh dancing performance by Atsushi Takenouchi and Hiroko Komiya called “Thousand Drops, Thousand Flowers”.

The show is both homage and a requiem in memory of the latest earthquake that hit Japan in 2011. Aside from the humanitarian tragedy the ecological catastrophe, mainly due to the damage that hit Fukushima nuclear site, the event represents a major threat to mankind.

Dancer Atsushi Takenouchi and his companion musician Hiroko Komiya perform an intense and intimate communion with the public, sharing through expressive music and movements, their poetical and direct experience of that tragedy.
