National Museum Extension Plans

The Beirut National Museum is in plans for a makeover, and thus far, it looks like it’s gonna be good.

Designed by Raed Abillama, the new design will be an extension of several facets of the National Museum, including a multipurpose room with a cafe and bar. Offering a view of the Beirut Hippodrome, the new multipurpose room can be accessed by both Damascus Street and Abdallah Yafi Street.

Hopefully, the new improvements will persuade more visitors to tour the national treasures located at the museum. And after the intermittent demolition of ancient architectural sites and buildings in the area, we can all agree that what Lebanon really needs is a dose of cultural and historical appreciation.
